Description
SUMMARY
The Channel Director, Digital Media will oversee and advance several of Butler/Till's digital advertising teams, with a heavy emphasis on paid media. This individual will work on premier (Fortune 100+) accounts to design, orchestrate and implement activations that deliver clear business outcomes for our client, particularly focused on demand generating activations that are top-of-funnel in nature, but have clear impact on bottom-of-funnel results. This individual will have deep expertise within hands-on-keys digital media buying platforms, AdTech holistically, attribution approaches, and funnel-funnel marketing campaigns. As a thought leader and people leader, they elevate Butler/Till's market presence, educate internal and external stakeholders, and develop high-performing teams that consistently deliver results at scale.
KEY OUTCOMES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Outcome: Create/maintain performance excellence across Programmatic (Display, CTV, Audio, DOOH, etc.) campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Refine, enforce, propose, and launch new processes supporting quality and precision in campaign execution, and optimization techniques, strategies, and order of operations
  • Develop best in class tactical plans for new and existing clients that allow campaigns to be built using industry best practices
  • Train and upskill the teams on maximizing the effectiveness of programmatic buying platforms including DSP's and SSP's such as DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP, Pubmatic, Magnite, etc.

Key Outcome: Create/maintain performance excellence across paid social campaigns
Key Responsibilities:
  • Refine, enforce, propose, and launch new processes supporting quality and precision in campaign execution, and new optimization techniques, strategies, and order of operations
  • Develop best in class tactical plans for new and existing clients that allow campaigns to be built using industry best practices
  • Train and upskill the teams on maximizing the effectiveness of Social Media buying platforms such as Meta, Reddit, Tik Tok, Snapchat, etc.

Key Outcome: Design activations that produce attributable results
Key Responsibilities:
  • Understands how "upper funnel" tactics contribute to real business outcomes and stays current on latest technologies/methodologies.
  • Design activations that work in tandem with lower funnel campaigns, while fostering a highly collaborative cross-functional environment.
  • Collaborate with Analytics, Integrated Planning, and Account teams on best opportunities to showcase and prove out how an omni-channel campaign produces a unified result.
  • Train downstream teams and foster a spirit of continued professional development in this area.

Key Outcome: Provide thought leadership and promote Innovation
Key Responsibilities:
  • Present to clients on new opportunities, representing our programmatic and social functional areas.
  • Represent Butler/Till at conferences, on discussion panels, in podcasts, in written articles, etc. to further establish the agency as a leader in Digital Media activation
  • Present and educate our internal stakeholders on industry news, strategies, tactics, etc.
  • Ideate and encourage teams to ideate on innovative activations, including potential award-winning case-studies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute and proactively manage talent plans. Assess, hire, on-board, and grow role-appropriate talent
  • Manage a team; set clear, outcome-based performance goals. Establish and maintain development plans for each
  • Provide effective feedback that enables employees to improve and work toward goals, while seeking feedback from team to enable inclusion and continuous improvement
  • Remove barriers to enable team outcomes

QUALIFICATIONS
โ€ข EDUCATION - Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field (or commensurate experience)
โ€ข EXPERIENCE - 7+ years of experience in digital marketing, advertising, or media field including:
o 5+ years of leadership / supervisor experience
o Agency experience
o Significant experience with digital media campaign activation, including stewardship of budgets of over $1M
o Experience with strategic tactical planning
o Experience in highly regulated industries preferred, such as Pharmaceuticals, Financial Services, Medical Insurance, Housing, Employment, Credit, or Political campaigns
o Experience with AdTech tools such Floodlights, Campaign Manager, Brand Safety, Google Analytics, Sprinklr, etc.
o Excellent verbal, written, and presenting skills

TrAvel Requirements
All employees, regardless of role or geographic location, are required to attend in person for onboarding during their first week of employment and annually for the Shareholder's Summit held in June. Additional travel will be expected, to include quarterly leadership development training, key/critical meetings & events, and regular visitation to the Agency headquarters.

COMPENSATION
Butler/Till is committed to providing pay transparency of our compensation philosophy and ensuring equitable pay practices for our employee owners. The compensation range for this position is $95,000- $149,000 and represents the annual salary range in Rochester, NY. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.
This is just one component of Butler/Till's total compensation package for employee owners. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including ESOP (employee stock ownership plan), an annual bonus, in addition to a full benefits package, and paid time off benefits, including 100% paid parental leave. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
