Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Internal Medicine Residency Clinic Director & Core Faculty, you will join Dignity Health Medical Group Nevada and its St. Rose Internal Medicine Residency program to provide direct patient care, ambulatory teaching and clinical leadership to residents within the Internal Medicine Residency Continuity Clinic located in North Las Vegas.
Every day you will provide leadership as the Clinic Director, overseeing administrative duties to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Internal Medicine Residency Continuity Clinic. Provide ambulatory teaching and preceptorship to internal medicine residents and medical students, fostering their clinical skills, diagnostic reasoning, and patient management abilities.
To be successful in this role, you will need a strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and foster a positive learning environment. Have exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. The ability to mentor and inspire residents and students, translating complex medical concepts into practical, actionable knowledge.
  • Clinical Leadership & Direct Patient Care
    • Maintain an independent primary care practice, providing comprehensive direct patient care to a panel of general internal medicine patients within the clinic setting
    • Leverage and integrate offerings from the Dignity Health Wellness Center, including exercise/nutrition classes, healthy living coaching, social service connections, and pharmacotherapy services, to support holistic patient well-being
    • Actively participate in departmental and organizational initiatives aimed at standardizing equitable whole person care and improving health outcomes
  • Ambulatory Teaching & Resident Supervision
    • Assume direct supervisory responsibility for internal medicine residents and medical students during their clinical rotations
    • Guide residents in the development and execution of ambulatory-based quality improvement projects, promoting a culture of continuous learning and data-driven improvements
    • Contribute to curriculum development and scholarly activities within the residency program, enriching the educational experience
  • Programmatic & Institutional Contribution
    • Actively participate in Internal Medicine Residency Program committees (e.g., Program Evaluation Committee, Clinical Competency Committee), contributing to program oversight and resident assessment
    • Contribute to the residency applicant recruitment process
    • Serve as a role model for professionalism and integrate CommonSpirit Health's mission and values into all aspects of clinical practice, teaching, and leadership

Job Requirements
Required
  • MD or DO Degree from an accredited institution
  • Active Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Nevada
  • Minimum of five (5) years of post-residency clinical experience in primary care settings
  • At least two (2) years of dedicated teaching experience in an ambulatory setting within graduate medical education
  • Proven experience in an administrative or leadership role, preferably as a Clinic Director or similar capacity preferred
  • Demonstrated interest and participation in quality improvement initiatives and/or limited data set research.
