Full job description

Duties to Include: 

  • Reporting directly to the Program Director/ CEO responsible for managing the daily operations and clinical supervision of the Behavior Management Day Program.
  • Oversees Day Program duties which include managing program staff, working closely with parents, care providers, transportation services, case workers, and others in the community
  • Oversees, coordinates, develops, and evaluates the program's overall effectiveness to ensure all participants are adhering and abiding by the agency’s purpose, approach, legal and ethical standards, and all mandates within state and federal regulation policy and procedure as outlined in Title 17/22 State of California Department of Health / Social Services.
  • Provides clinical support to staff through staff orientation and training.
  • Responsible for maintaining consumer records, human resource records/documents, quality assurance reporting, and facility safety regulations/ mandates as outlined in MSDS/ OSHA/ HIPPA compliance Manuals.
  • Ability to implement and carry out social services through individualized case management
  • Possess the Ability to work closely with several State of California public and private agencies such as the County of Orange Department of Social Services, Regional Centers, Community Care Licensing, Adult Protective Services, Ombudsmen, Health Department, and law enforcement agencies.
  • Reports, interviews, and investigates all incidents of strange/unusual or suspected abuse/neglect to all parties immediately with follow-up as mandated.
  • Proficient in critical thinking, with strong analytical, communicative, writing, and interpersonal skills. Ability to complete necessary ongoing documentation through report writing, computer-generated documents, ongoing daily notifications, program letters, and other correspondences
  • Work cohesively within the Administrative Team, including attending all corporate meetings, training, and in-services. Responsible for training and working closely with other Directors and/or Asst. Trainees to prepare for Director responsibilities and job expectations. Ability to attend events related to program expansions, additions, and new programs
  • Must possess a strong work ethic with excellent motivational team-building skills. Be self-motivated, can motivate others, be competent, positive, flexible, and versatile.
  • Facilitate, organize, and implement all Program staff training, in-services, and meetings.
  • Responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and facilitating all Orange County Regional Center Quarterly, Semi-Annual, and Annual, IDT Consumer Meetings
  • Maintains all assigned documentation, files, charts, rosters, and data regarding program participants/ staff as outlined in Title 17/22.
  • Seek out and implement pre-vocational job training sites and activities that build pre-vocational / independent consumer skills. Encourages all consumers/staff to work on identified goals through incentive programs and encouragement.
  • Ability to implement, follow, and train staff on all Consumer IPP goals / Transition plan / ISP objectives while ensuring that all staff are trained on various techniques and approaches which include prompting, modeling, and hand-over-hand instruction during planned indoor and integrated community activities.
  • Responsible for reviewing staff consumer daily notes, weekly contracts, and other program documentation while making necessary recommendations if and when needed
  • Additional work responsibilities consist of and are not limited to the completion of the program's monthly computerized billing, ongoing program maintenance, monthly shopping and delivery of food and program supply items, ordering of supplies, scheduling repairs/ cleanings, preparation, and submission of monthly itemized budgets, etc.
  • Responsible for making sure that all staff members respect the rights and dignity of all consumers and those in the workplace

Requirements: 

  • Be over the age of 21
  • Obtain a DOJ clearance
  • Obtain a cleared T.B.
  • Obtain CPR/FA certification
  • ARF administrator certification
  • Current CDL, car insurance, and car registration.
  • Knowledge of and experience in all Title 17/22 regulations and mandates and ability to carry out such practices daily
  • A minimum of a baccalaureate degree in psychology. social work, or a related human services field and a minimum of (1) year experience in the management of a human service delivery system, or
  • Three(3) years of experience in a human services delivery system including at least (1) one year in a management or supervisory position and (2) two years of experience training in (1) one of the following:
  • Care and supervision of clients in a licensed adult day program, or an adult day health facility
  • Care and supervision of one or more of the categories of persons to be served by the day program.

Experience:

  • Working with individuals with disabilities: 2 years (Required)

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

License:

  • CPR/First Aid (Required)
