YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

The Manager, Testing and Commissioning is a mid-level manager responsible for overseeing their respective team execution of all program testing requirements at each MPS facility.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Oversees the execution of the Senior Manager Field Quality directives to ensure testing and commissioning protocol aligns with all production program's requirements.

  • Provides operational oversight and direction of daily operations within the Testing & Commissioning Team to ensure the next generation of testing and commissioning management is being put into place.

  • Directs the workload, professional development, and client development skills of the Testing and Commissioning staff.

  • Establishes and implements all testing and commissioning documentation, and record keeping to support the MPS Offsite Manufacturing (OSM) Management program.

  • Supervisors the following processes: Equipment Specifications, BOM's, Submittals, and Project Installation Specifications for consistency with design and bid requirements prior to vendor selection and equipment ordering.

  • Develop, maintain, and implement the Material and Equipment Testing Plan.

  • Create and supervise the procedure to verify and provide documentation that the installation and performance of the electrical systems meet the design requirements.

  • Validates and holds accountable the electrical system installation and performance efforts meets design requirements.

  • Manages the inspection request process and walks with third-party inspection teams to ensure all inspections are complete, approved, and documented.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
    • Strong organizational, record-keeping and follow-up skills

    • Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures

    • Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance

    • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Accubid and Oracle preferred

    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary

    • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude

    • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position

    • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player

    • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

    WHAT YOU BRING TO US:
    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred

    • Minimum 10 years' experience in quality assurance and/or testing and commissioning, preferably in electrical construction.

    • Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment and testing methods required

    • Can be a combination of education, training and relevant experience

    TRAVEL:
    • 100% between MPS production facilities

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning

    • Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.

    • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
