Cloud Disaster Recovery Testing Program ManagerPosition Summary

Leads the planning, coordination, and governance of cloud disaster recovery testing activities across a portfolio of applications. Ensures recovery exercises are executed in accordance with resiliency standards, recovery objectives, regulatory expectations, and internal governance requirements while driving stakeholder alignment, issue resolution, and successful test outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate disaster recovery testing for multiple cloud-hosted applications, ensuring testing activities are planned, scheduled, executed, and documented in accordance with program requirements.

  • Partner with application owners, cloud engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, business continuity, and business stakeholders to establish testing scope, objectives, recovery scenarios, and success criteria.

  • Develop and maintain integrated testing schedules, project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and remediation tracking across a large application portfolio.

  • Facilitate test planning meetings, readiness reviews, test execution bridges, post-test reviews, and governance forums.

  • Coordinate recovery validation activities and ensure achievement of established RTO, RPO, and resiliency objectives.

  • Track testing compliance, evidence collection, documentation quality, action plans, and regulatory readiness requirements.

  • Communicate testing status, risks, issues, and recovery results to senior management and executive stakeholders through regular reporting and governance updates.

  • Drive cross-functional coordination to resolve testing challenges, resource constraints, dependency impacts, and scheduling conflicts.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cloud resiliency, recovery automation, testing standards, and governance processes.

  • Maintain accurate inventory, testing metrics, dashboards, and program reporting for dozens of applications across multiple testing cycles.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in IT Project Management, Technical Program Management, Disaster Recovery, Technology Resilience, Infrastructure Operations, or Technology Governance.

  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, disaster recovery principles, application recovery testing, business continuity concepts, and operational resilience frameworks.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, stakeholders, and project dependencies within a complex technology environment.

  • Experience developing and maintaining project plans, status reporting, risk management artifacts, executive communications, and governance documentation.

  • Proficiency with project and workflow management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, ServiceNow, and SharePoint.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills.

  • Experience within financial services, regulated industries, or large-scale enterprise technology organizations preferred.

  • PMP, Agile, Scrum, ITIL, Business Continuity, or related certification preferred.
