Job Summary
  You must be a current UK student to apply for this position. This position is located off-campus with a local Lexington employer and is not affiliated with UK.
The Public Information and Engagement section of the Department of Environmental Quality and Public Works (also known as Live Green Lexington) is seeking to hire program support to assist our team with hands-on work to prepare for special events, programs, and participating in community events.
This is a flexible, ongoing, part-time position. Maximum of 25 hours per week. Weekend/evening availability is required. Availability for at least two 3-hour shifts during business hours (anytime between 7am-5pm) during the week is required as well. Work will take place at the Phoenix Building, 101 East Vine Street and at various off-site locations (transportation is provided).

Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Tabling and events: staff as needed/required. Evening and weekend work is required. Please see the job application for a full list of dates you will be required to work.
Load and unload event and tabling supplies.
Maintain, clean and organize event supplies.
Transport education and outreach trailers to events and K-12 schools.
Assemble new homeowner and apartment packets (plus other similar clerical/office work)
Collect materials related to special partner collections (e.g., campaign signs, holiday lights, etc.)
Distribute promotional materials (posters, handbills) to partner locations 
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
A valid driver's license, with a clean driving record (no major violations)
Comfort driving large vehicles (cargo van and pickup truck) or willingness to learn.
Ability to tow a trailer safely (preferred) or a willingness to learn.
Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work and effectively communicate with staff.
Self-directed team player who gets things done.
Ability to work outdoors and complete physically demanding tasks.
Willingness to undergo a background check and pre-employment screening (drug and alcohol testing)
