Job description

The position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), VA Portland Healthcare System, Deputy Director, Facilities Management Services, Projects and Operations. The primary purpose of the position is to assist with project related items and clerical duties in support of the design of interior environments throughout the VA Portland Healthcare System.
Qualifications:To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement, 06/09/2026.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
  • Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Collecting, compiling, and tracking data/ information to generate reports and correspondence; Ordering and tracking inventory of office supplies/materials; Reviewing correspondence for accuracy and completeness; Working with different software applications to do word processing, work orders, office automation, and purchase card reconciliations; Tracks and reports project progress and prepares and maintains cost estimates and documentation for procurement; Communicating with customers to gather information and/or present information. Note: Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.
