Job Description
General Responsibilities:
Terracon Consultants Inc. is seeking an Owners' Representative and Construction/Project Manager to perform on-site services for a variety of facility projects for an existing client. Involves daily travel to primary client campus of buildings. The immediate need and primary base of operations is located in the Henrico/Petersburg area where the employee will work daily. Work includes functions in the field and in the office and project types include new construction as well as existing building projects. It is essential to have the desire to communicate and work with a variety of professionals and trades in the construction, project management and design industries.
Responsibilities
Primary Tasks:
  • Scheduling work, processing paperwork and pay apps, general project documentation
  • Reviewing levels of work completion in the field
  • Following up with contractors
  • Checking on status of existing projects and bid assistance with new projects
  • Managing active and potential construction projects for the Owner
  • Assisting with the processing/receiving of invoices for various construction/maintenance projects
  • Developing Project Management process'/solutions to streamline and simplify communication to relevant stakeholders

Qualifications
  • A degree or equivalent training in construction or project management fields
  • Two or more years of on-site project management experience
  • Ability or desire to obtain industry accepted certifications
  • Knowledge of building systems
  • Strong skills to work independently while still being part of a collaborative team
  • Knowledge or ability to understand Virginia DEB building requirements
