The SVO (Strategy & Value Office) team provides program and portfolio-level oversight to support effective planning, coordination, and delivery across complex IT initiatives. By working closely with product, technology, and business partners, SVO helps manage dependencies, optimize capacity, and ensure initiatives stay aligned with organizational goals.

The Agile Program Manager is responsible for managing dependencies and integrations across functions, teams, initiatives and potentially value streams. The Agile Program Manager leads and coordinates across multiple cross-functional delivery teams within a defined business or technology pillar. This role ensures strategic alignment, cross-team delivery coordination, and operational efficiency-focusing on value delivery, planning, and Agile governance.

Acting as a bridge between leadership and delivery teams, the Agile Program Manager works closely with Portfolio Manager, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders to manage dependencies, monitor program performance, and resolve risks and blockers that impede delivery outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Agile program planning, execution, and reporting across multiple IT cross-functional teams
  • Monitor program and/or value stream, capacity, risks, and performance metrics to ensure successful delivery. May also oversee budget for assigned programs.
  • Facilitate communication between teams and proactively resolve cross-team impediments
  • Track and report on key program metrics (e.g., OKRs, delivery milestones, value delivery)
  • Champion Agile ways of working and continuous improvement across teams
  • Support Agile ceremonies, retrospectives, and governance reporting
  • Provide regular updates and escalations to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Conduct quarterly portfolio planning sessions connecting with other portfolios for cross-functional efforts
  • Collaborate with other Program Managers to manage interdependencies and shared resources
  • Guide teams through Agile best practices without beingframework-prescriptive

  • Experience in highly regulated, large enterprise settings with matrixed teams and complex dependencies
  • Proven track record of managing cross-functional initiatives with senior visibility
  • Experience with Strategic Portfolio Management tools (ServiceNow)
  • Familiarity with Agile tools (e.g., Jira)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare, finance, or other regulated industries
  • Experience with value stream mapping and optimization
  • Experience with Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • PMP, PgMP, or Agile certifications (e.g., CSP-SM, PMI-ACP, ICP-APM)
  • Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt)
