Job description

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Project Coordinator with advanced expertise in project support, cross-functional coordination, and business analysis to streamline operations for a mission-critical U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) program. This position will be located in Alexandria, VA, and will be a hybrid position.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Project Coordinator, this role provides project tracking, reporting, meeting facilitation, and functional requirements support to the Operations Applications Product Line (OAPL) to improve operational efficiency and IT delivery. Core responsibilities include:
  • Coordinate and facilitate program sessions, including OAPL All Hands, Strategic Offsites, SMR/PMRs, deep-dives, briefings, and senior leadership updates.
  • Provide facilitation and tracking services for OAPL projects and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain SELC documentation (Project Charters, Tailoring Plans, Project Plans).
  • Support procurement phases, including market research and requirements verification.
  • Provide technical writing and editorial support for content creation and formatting.
  • Elicit, validate, and document functional requirements from users and stakeholders.
  • Translate complex operational workflows into precise functional requirements and technical documentation.

Qualifications
High School with 6 - 9 years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience eliciting, validating, documenting, and translating operational workflows into functional requirements.
  • Strong proficiency in project coordination, milestone tracking, and document management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and meeting facilitation.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Clearance Level: Must have an active Secret clearance
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience supporting the U.S. Coast Guard, DoD, or federal contracting environments.
