Job description

Duties * Serve as Chief of the JBER Program Division and provide major recommendations which have a direct and substantial effect on the Alaska District's organization, resourcing, and the projects managed. * Supervise and manage a multidisciplinary team of program managers, engineers, construction professionals, and support staff performing professional, technical, and administrative work comparable to the GS-12 level or higher. * Provide executive level advisory support to USACE leadership on matters related to program execution, stakeholder engagement, and communication strategies affecting the JBER Program. Requirements Conditions of employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. * This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. * This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time. * This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed. * This position has been designated as performing Project and/or Program Management functions. Program and Project Managers are required to achieve CDP certification. * Position is designated as a "Key Position" in accordance with AR 690-11. This position shall not be vacated during a national emergency or during mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the agency to function effectively.
