Summary: The Senior Program Manager manages complex strategic portfolio or multiple programs to achieve key business objective goals. Creates, monitors, and updates portfolio or program plans. Helps establish work plan and assists with the staffing for the portfolio or programs. Establishes and maintains comprehensive portfolio communication plan across teams. Provides management and strategic direction to cross-functional portfolio teams. Accountable for managing portfolio scope, budget and schedule. Manage prioritization of projects and program with in the portfolio. Ensuring that each program achieves its overall benefits. Resolved resource escalations between programs with resource conflict, and determine the best use of resources based on the priority of programs. Deep financial acumen including managing the program progress based on the financials provided and financial forecast of progress. Analyze the program financials to provide the key messages and risks. As problems arise, ability to deep dive into issue resolutions. Reviews and may provide input into the portfolio scope definition. Coordinates development and approval of the business and technical requirements documents. Proactively works with portfolio teams to identify portfolio level risks and issues. Assists with the resolution of issues/risks and escalates when appropriate. Resolve risk and issues when they involve multiple senior leaders and drive toward resolution and mitigation. Represents the company with contractors, suppliers, business partners and other parties as required. Coordinates activities of portfolio or program teams to ensure progress is on schedule and within budget. Recommends and makes adjustments to the portfolio plan and staffing. Effectively monitors, measures, and communicate portfolio status to portfolio stakeholders and executives. Responsible for managing and mentoring Project Managers or Program Managers. Bachelor?s Degree, at least 10 years of project management experience and at least 5 years of program management and Consulting experience in implementing global projects in the retail and/or healthcare industry. Extensive experience developing project plan including the charter, scope, project management approach, management plans, financial forecast and schedule. Extensive experience in working with cross-functional teams and staff of all levels. Experience managing program budgets of at least 0000M. Strong communication, presentation and organization skills. Strong and effective team leadership skills. Solid problem solving and analysis skills. Advanced skills in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. PMP certification preferred. Experience with multiple project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, etc. Experience in establishing and managing Project Management Office for programs.
