Responsibilities:

The Program Manager will support Barrow Wise's Illinois Secretary of State transformation project and perform the following duties:

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the program, aligning it with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Create and design program initiatives, projects, and activities that contribute to the program's objectives and overall success.
  • Build, lead, and manage a diverse team of professionals involved in the program's activities and provide guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure team cohesion and high performance.
  • Oversee the execution of program projects and initiatives, ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
  • Track program progress, collect and analyze data, and evaluate outcomes to assess the effectiveness of program activities.
  • Communicate program goals, progress, and outcomes to various stakeholders through regular updates, reports, and presentations.
  • Allocate resources, including personnel, funding, and materials, to various program activities to ensure efficient and effective implementation.
  • Ensure program activities and initiatives adhere to relevant policies, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Address conflicts and challenges that may arise within the program or between stakeholders, finding effective solutions and fostering positive working relationships.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to program staff and team members.
  • Generate regular and ad hoc reports for senior management and stakeholders, providing insights into program performance and impact.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams within the organization to ensure seamless coordination of efforts and alignment with organizational goals.

An ideal candidate has the following:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field
  • Project Management Professional, Certified Associate in Project Management, and/or Program Management Professional
  • At least six years of experience managing a transformation/modernization project
