We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Program Manager to lead our Substance, Screening, Treatment, and Recovery for Youth (SSTRY) Program. What You'll Do

As the Program Manager – SSTRY, you will:

  • Provide clinical, administrative, and supervisory leadership for the SSTRY Program.

  • Oversee screening, admissions, treatment, and aftercare services.

  • Monitor clinician and Recovery Support Specialist productivity and service utilization.

  • Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and performance management.

  • Lead hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, supervision, and progressive discipline.

  • Improve workflows that enhance access, responsiveness, and continuity of care.

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and audit-ready documentation in the electronic health record.

  • Oversee assessments and data entry using PIE, GAIN, and EBTx.

  • Ensure compliance with DSS, DPH, DCF, contract requirements, and agency policies.

  • Lead quality assurance, outcome measurement, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Promote culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and ethical care.

  • Assume Clinical Therapist responsibilities as needed.

  • Travel between Middletown, Meriden, and Norwich locations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.

  • 3–5 years of outpatient behavioral health experience with supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership potential.

  • Experience managing clinical operations, staff supervision, productivity, documentation, and quality improvement.

  • Experience using Electronic Health Records (CareLogic preferred).

  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

  • Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, family-centered care.

Licensure & Certifications
  • Connecticut licensure as LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LADC, or Licensed Psychologist.

  • Ability to obtain A-CRA/ACC Clinician and Supervisor Certification within 18 months.

  • CPR/First Aid and Crisis Prevention & Intervention certifications (or ability to obtain).

  • Completion of required agency trainings, including SBIRT, PIE, and GAIN.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to perform light to moderate lifting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and driving.

  • Regular travel between community-based program locations.

  • Potential exposure to bodily fluids and environmental conditions common in behavioral health settings.

  • Ability to maintain a safe, therapeutic, and professional environment.
