SUMMARY :

The Program Manager is responsible for following business development activities to include; technical proposals, presentations, detailed management of new business launches, customer service management, and liaison between customer and operations. The primary objective for this position is to ensure the effective use of our internal resources through day to day direction so that product realization is completed on time-and within-budget. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

The Program Manager must be able to meet and maintain company guidelines by performing the following essential job functions.

  Supports sales and marketing in presenting company capabilities to current and new customers. 

 Participates in contract negotiations as required and review and manage purchase orders.

  Serves as the Customer / Program relationship manager from Receipt of Contract through delivery of the product. 

 Primary interface with the customer to report status, address risks, and ensure on-time delivery.  Ensures program is sufficiently defined to meet business objectives, product line goals, and customer commitments.

  Works closely with functional leads to ensure appropriate assets are assigned to and support program milestones. 

 Manages programs to ensure compliance with all technical, quality, budget, and delivery requirements. 

 Provides risk assessment and mitigation throughout the development of the program. 

 Travel as required, U.S. and global.  Must be an organized self-starter with good reasoning skills. 

 Ability to interface effectively in international environments, a strong plus. Must be able to communicate, get along and work well with other employees. 

 Must comply with the rules and regulations mandated under the following quality and governmental standards: ISO 9000, AS 9100, ITAR and ISO 14001. 

 Establish and maintain a safe working environment in accordance with corporate policy and OSHA standards. 

 Being at work every day and coming to work on-time is required. 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS 

 Professional appearance, demeanor and conduct is required. 

 Maintain a clean and orderly work area. 

 Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor/Manager. 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES and / or EXPERIENCE 

 Must have a high school diploma or GED. 

 Bachelor's degree, engineering or business degree preferred or equivalent experience. 

 Minimum of 3 - 5 years related experience 

 Experience in multi-functional and product development teams required. 

 Experience / capability with technical sales is important and a familiarization or exposure to ERP/MRP Systems is preferred. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

 Excellent verbal and writing skills are required. 

 Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical specifications, common business documents, and industry publications.

  Ability to respond effectively to inquires or concerns from manufacturing personnel. 

 Ability to write reports or procedures; and effectively present information to management, customers, vendors and employees. 

 Multi-lingual capabilities, a plus, especially in French or German 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inferences.

  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportional to practical situations.

 REASONING ABILITY 

 Ability to work with principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. 

 Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) 

 Experience in multi-functional and product development teams preferred. 

 Must be an organized self-starter with good reasoning skills. 

 Must be able to work under general supervision and take direction. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

 While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to walk; sit, talk and hear, stand, use hands; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. Physical requirements are the ability to lift up to 25 pounds continuously, 50 pounds occasionally, or up to 100 pounds, with assistance. 

COMPUTER SKILLS

  Must possess basic personal computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, to include Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Microsoft Outlook.
