Qualifications and Experience Requirements
Education:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communications Systems Management, or a related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • In lieu of a qualifying degree, candidates possessing a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification may also be considered.

Experience:
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in the information technology (IT) field, including direct experience leading and managing multidisciplinary teams and serving as the overall program manager and primary customer interface.
  • Must demonstrate proven ability to oversee complex IT programs, manage project scope, schedule, and budget, and ensure alignment with organizational and customer objectives.
  • At least five (5) years of the required experience must specifically involve information assurance (IA) or cybersecurity-related responsibilities, such as implementing and maintaining information security policies, managing risk assessments, ensuring compliance with applicable standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA), and supporting certification and accreditation processes.
  • Strong understanding of program management methodologies, stakeholder engagement, resource planning, and performance monitoring is essential.
  • Experience collaborating with federal or government customers and managing large-scale IT modernization or security programs is highly desirable.
