Program Manager - Onsite Position
An exciting and challenging career opportunity to be part of a team as a Program Manager!
As a Program Manager, you will have the primary role in ensuring program technical, cost, schedule, and scope contract commitments are satisfied on contracts ranging from $1M to $10M. You will lead integrated product teams (IPTs) in achieving contract commitments and driving performance. You will be the single point of program leadership for assigned programs, product lines, or customers, be responsible for assigning and monitoring technical, cost and schedule objectives to a functional support team, and the primary customer POC. This position requires leadership of engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, planning, quality, contract and finance resources to complete all program tasks.

Your Challenge
  • Work with Engineering, Operations, and Functional organizations to analyze proposals with respect to cost/risk/quality, lead source selections and negotiation teams, and monitor costs, schedules, and technical performance.
  • Hold program and proposal Kick-off Meetings, establishing baselines for planned cost, design configuration and schedule.
  • Manage, coordinate and control Work Plan execution to achieve technical, cost and schedule objectives
  • Lead multi-disciplinary program teams and regular meetings to monitor and drive progress toward objectives while anticipating and taking corrective action in problem areas before they occur.
  • Manage and monitor Risk Registers and take a proactive stance by developing contingency plans in potential risk areas and identifying contingency plan deployment criteria to resolve potential problems. Report potential problems to senior management.
  • Review and control cost, including the coordination and certification of Estimate at Complete (EAC) and hold Program Management Reviews (PMRs) internally
  • Maintain effective customer communications, ensuring that all customer requirements and expectations are addressed effectively
  • Ensure pertinent Meeting Minutes are maintained that document all agreements / commitments related to the project.

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business preferred (or equivalent).
  • 7-10 years' experience of direct Aerospace and Defense program management.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively develop and manage detailed program budgets and schedules
  • Experience with Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contracts and Indefinite Demand, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts
  • Experience utilizing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and executing against Statement of Work (SOW)
  • Experience managing an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and holding Page & Line Reviews
  • Familiarity with Cost Account Management (CAM)
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Risk and Opportunity Management
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures for a high complexity product line
  • Prior engineering/operations experience with current experience in program management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Strong customer relationship experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to diverse internal and external audiences
  • Project Management Professional Certification is an asset
  • US citizen and able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
