Job Description

The Program Manager is responsible for leading program execution across the full lifecycle-from proposal and planning through production, delivery, and closeout. This role ensures program performance meets customer, quality, cost, and schedule expectations while coordinating cross-functional activities within engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, and finance. The Program Manager serves as the primary customer interface, driving accountability, risk management, and continuous improvement to support Teledyne DGO's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Execution

Lead assigned programs to successful completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements.

Develop, manage, and maintain detailed program plans, milestones, budgets, and dashboards.

Monitor program performance using KPIs, maintaining proactive visibility for leadership and stakeholders.

Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of program deliverables.

Customer Interface & Communication

Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers; manage expectations and maintain strong relationships.

Conduct regular program reviews internally and externally, including status updates, risk/issue discussions, and contract deliverables.

Support negotiation of program changes, contract modifications, and customer-driven requirements.

Financial & Contract Management

Develop and manage program budgets, forecasts, and financial performance indicators.

Ensure program profitability by identifying variances and implementing corrective actions.

Support development of proposals, ROMs, pricing inputs, and long-term planning activities.

Risk, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

Identify, assess, and manage program risks and opportunities; maintain risk registers.

Ensure adherence to company policies, contractual requirements, configuration control, and quality standards.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives through root cause analysis and cross-functional collaboration.

Collaboration & Leadership

Facilitate communication and alignment across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams.

Influence and drive accountability without direct authority across project team members.

Support transition of new products into production, ensuring readiness across operations.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.

3-5+ years of program or project management experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or high-reliability industries.

Strong knowledge of program management tools, scheduling, budgeting, and contract management.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple complex programs simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP/MRP systems.

Preferred:

Experience in defense or subsea/ocean engineering industries.

PMP certification or equivalent project/program management training.

Experience with earned value management (EVM), configuration management, and ISO/AS quality environments.
