Description
FUNCTION: Responsible for monitoring presence, behavior, and location of all residents. Checks the building for the safety and security of those within. Monitor, supervise, and record all activities of residents.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Orientation and intake of all residents
  • Assist clients with questions, problems and/or concerns
  • Monitor client and visitor traffic at all times, including signing residents out to work, school
  • Enforce house and program rules and emergency procedures as required
  • Make rounds of building and sleeping rooms, as per procedure
  • Check and make notes on all residents as to hygiene, room cleanliness, adherence to schedule, including ensuring all clients are taking their medication and logging into record
  • Supervise assigned house jobs
  • Complete all security requirements, including but not limited to: conduct randomly scheduled facility and client searches; identify and coordinate program response to crisis intervention.
  • Operate Program vehicle to transport clients
  • Additional duties assigned by Supervisor

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to express oneself and exchange information both verbally and in writing. The employee is constantly required to move about the building, and the employee must be able to freely move, bend, and twist. The employee is required to respond quickly to escalating situations, and therefore must be able to move and respond quickly and appropriately to stressful situations, including the ability to lift up to 20 lbs. The employee is required to conduct client searches and must have the ability to touch and feel for contraband. This employee is also required to operate a computer and other office machinery.

Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma
Two (2) years college education
Preferred qualifications:
Two (2) years experience with felony offenders preferred
Salary Description
$20.00/hr
