Job description

Program Manager, Managed Care Palliative Operations

Position: Program Manager, Managed Care Palliative Operations

Remote/Virtual Position: Remote

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 


Responsibilities

The Program Manager, Managed Care Palliative Operations is responsible for the operational execution, implementation, growth, and performance management of palliative care managed care contracts. This role partners closely with senior leadership, clinical teams, facility partners, payers, and regional operations to ensure successful execution managed care-based initiatives while maintaining high-quality patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
This role will serve as the primary operational lead between Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), AccentCare’s Managed Care team, Provider Services Specialists, and clinical palliative teams to ensure contractual requirements are met, eligible patients are successfully scheduled, and performance expectations related to PMPM, SLAs, and KPIs are achieved.

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field)
  • Minimum 3+ years of healthcare operations or managed care experience required
  • Experience with PMPM or value-based programs required
  • Palliative or hospice experience, preferred

Responsibilities:  

As a Program Manager, Managed Care Palliative Operations, you will:

  • Oversee daily operations of managed care organizations (MCOs) programs
  • Provide oversight to palliative support staff which could include MA, LVN/LPN or admin support
  • Ensure consistent implementation of workflows, policies, and operational standards
  • Identify operational gaps and develop action plans for performance improvement.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal teams, managed care organizations, and other payer sources
  • Support payer meetings, operational reviews, and strategic initiatives
  • Monitor PMPM managed care contracts, SLAs and KPIs
