Position Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Programs supporting projects within the IT Infrastructure and Cloud Services Portfolio. Their role is to ensure that our team meet the client's expectations by delivering Project on time, within budget, in scope, and with high quality.

Ensures projects are operating effectively. Responsibilities typically include some or most of the following in support of Program Management to ensure attainment of program metrics/objectives.

  • Full understanding of Program Management and Project Management activities both in Waterfall and Agile.
  • Full understanding of Agile and Waterfall Methodologies
  • Ability to develop templates, roadmap, reports, metrics, necessary documents
  • Measuring and reporting on success of the program
  • Identifying and maintaining strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners
  • Communicates and champions the infrastructure requirements necessary to execute the IT portfolio.
  • Ensures compliance to Standards/regulations and governance processes.
  • Highly collaborative, able to work cross-functionally; possessing the ability to forge relationships and partner effectively.


PG&E is providing the full salary/pay range for this position. The actual amount paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity,specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The range to reasonably expect will be around the minimum and the midpoint$144,000 - $194,000. Thefinal decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to the factors above.This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs.  


Bay Area Min: $ 144,000 

Bay Area Max: $ 244,000 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and 1-2 days per week at our Oakland Headquarters based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides IT services that include planning, development, implementation, and support for systems solutions required for the PG&E. Network Infrastructure, Fiber, Data Center Technologies, and User Device Technology.
  • Utilizes various tools and techniques for estimating costs associated with a project/program including physical, financial, and human capital costs.
  • Leads the effort in creative approaches to problem solving and quality deliverables supporting business needs.
  • Accountable for negotiating conflicts and ensuring identified issues are resolved.
  • Provides leadership and motivation to team members.
  • Establish comprehensive service level agreements.
  • Ensures that the project/program outcome reflects the goals of the organization/business.
  • Ensures timely and effective communication regarding the mapping of initiatives to business goals to business partners, including presenting information to IT and business leaders outlining portfolio specifics.
  • Acts as a liaison and conduit for information flow between the department team and the rest of the IT and business community, as well as with appropriate external stakeholders; manages the efficient and effective resolution of issues.
  • Monitors program results against technical specifications.
  • Ensures appropriate resources are assigned to each project/program.
  • Develops and manage to a set of meaningful metrics to demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of the team on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Ensures compliance to standards/regulations and governance processes.
  • Develops and manages department budgets, regularly monitoring expenses against forecast, providing explanation or justification for budget items and/or variances.
  • Identifies new partners, technologies, and delivery channels.
  • Communicates project status to all stakeholders.
  • Monitors, evaluates status, and reports on projects.
  • Communicates (oral and written) with peers inside and outside of the department, providing information or exchanging data.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 years of related experience or equivalent

Desired:

  • Master's Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • IT Project/Program Experience, 6 years
  • PMP-Project Management Professional certification
  • SAFe RTE, or Scrum Master
  • Previous Utility Experience
