Position Summary:
The Program Manager is responsible for the management of significant and operational, multi-disciplinary projects that require a broad knowledge of business process. The Program Manager supports the organization by: understanding objectives as they relate to both business and integration program goals; working with business and project leaders to ensure that work plans align with business objectives, are well developed, well understood and well executed; mentor and assist project leaders with project schedules, maintenance, and delivery of high quality results.
 
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of all aspects of program and project management activities within an owned or supported workstream.
  • Work closely with the steering committee to make sure that the scope and direction of each program and project is well understood.
  • Lead meetings and working sessions with stakeholders, SME’s, and senior leaders to assist with: developing the business case; developing project plans using appropriate tools, identifying key deliverables and timelines; identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path items; taking action to troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Develop task and milestone level project plans to execute against strategic goals and vision.
  • Regularly analyze and report the progress of programs to leadership via executive level.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

Education and Work History:
  • Bachelor's level degree required, Master’s level degree preferred. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
  • Experience working in waterfall, iterative and agile development environments.
  • Strong experience using Microsoft products including Excel, PowerPoint, Projects, Visio.
