Overview

The Marketing Intern serves as assistant to the Marketing Department at Ford Idaho Center. A successful Intern should be able to handle a wide range of projects and should be willing to commit 20-30 hours per week, but with a flexible schedule. With mutual agreement, the intern may work during normal business hours at the offices at Nampa, ID, as well as certain event hours at a venue of the complex in the evenings or on weekends.

This role will pay an hourly wage of$15.00

This role is expected to last from May 18, 2026 and will end on August 21, 2026.ย 

This position will remain open until July 3, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Learning aspects of the role will include insights into marketing processes for venue and event management.
  • Marketing plan review and implementation - Review, contribute and eventually build marketing plans for events under the supervision on the Director of Marketing.ย 
  • Event Assistance - assist with day of show event tasks such as venue set up, ad wraps, activations, media relations, and duties as assigned with direction.
  • Event Assistance - assist in off site event activations and planning for the purpose of marketing upcoming events.
  • Production Assistance - collaborate on marketing assets and implementation to contribute to and build collateral.ย 
  • Digital Marketing - work with the Marketing team to review/analyze, recommend, and create or design digital materials.
  • Interact with event planning and collect essential information, including previous event activities and marketing, to review and develop a portfolio of potential marketing plans to present.
  • Discuss probable marketing plans with the event manager/marketing director and be prepared to explain why you believe a certain plan is most possible.
  • Maintain interaction and collaboration regarding upcoming events and always see if there is something you can do, learn or drive.
  • Write up reports based on your experiences at the facility and offer recommendations about what you would change about our operation's intern program.

  • Learn the fundamentals of marketing in live events and entertainment - Build a strong foundation in branding, social media, website content, advertising, public relations, and sponsorships.
  • Gain hands-on experience creating real marketing content and campaigns - Work on social posts, event promotions, website updates, and outreach plans that support actual events.
  • Understand how to grow and engage an audience - Learn how to use social media, email marketing, and community partnerships to attract fans and increase event attendance.
  • Develop business and analytical skills through real projects - Track marketing performance, explore market research, and learn how budgets and media buying decisions impact results.
Qualifications
  • Currently registered at a college or university, with preference given to Junior or above.
  • Creative and passionate about marketing processes, specifically in the events & entertainment industry.
  • Detail oriented and focused, needs to be able to work independently, with supervision.
  • Strong computer skills are a must, basic graphic design skills are helpful.ย 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.ย 
  • Strong organization and time-management skills.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
