Qualifications:
  1. Previous experience working with students and communities.
  2. Excellent organizational skills.
  3. Fundraising skills.
  4. Ability to maintain a positive environment.
  5. Works well with students, staff, and the public
  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  7. Able to work under pressure and deadlines.
  8. Maintain confidentiality.
  9. Regular attendance and predictable attendance.
  10. Must have own transportation.
Reports to: Building Administrator
Job Goals:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the skills to organize and plan afterschool/evening recreational activities for students and the community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Planning and implementing program activities that are culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate including: education, technology, arts and crafts, sports, and games.
  2. Supervise students, teen volunteers, special events, and all activities held at the school and ensure a safe positive experience for children and teens.
  3. Interact and communicate effectively with children, parents, caregivers, and volunteers.
  4. Assist in writing grants and seeking sponsors to support needs of the afterschool program.
  5. Develop policies and procedures, public relations and volunteer training and recruiting.
  6. Planning and preparation for special events as required.
  7. Plan and implement recreational activities in conjunction with physical education teachers.
  8. Attend staff trainings and meetings as needed.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs all other duties as assigned.

This is a stipend position.
This is an "at will" position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The "employment at will" policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees.
