Overview
The Program Coordinator I is the primary support for a clinical/administrative department. This position is
responsible for general office operations, filing, organizing and overall administrative performance. The Office
Manager I may supervise more than three (3) employees, i.e., secretaries and or receptionists.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, visitors, and other employees. Interacts professionally, courteously, and appropriately with patients, visitors and other employees. Behaves in a manner consistent with maintaining and furthering a positive public perception of BronxCare Health System and its employees
- Contributes to and participates in the Performance/Quality Improvement activities of the assigned department. Contribution and participation includes data collection, analysis, implementation of and compliance with risk management and claims activities, support of and participation in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) teams, consistent adherence to the specific rules and regulations of the BronxCare Health System's (a) Safety and Security Policies, (b) Risk Management: Incident and Occurrence Reporting, (c) Infection Control Policies and Procedures and (d) Patient and Customer Service.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the Gilead project including management of the project timeline, project goals, coordinating case management meetings, liaising with Hospital clinical leadership.
- Provide project leadership by serving as the 'brainstorming' engine by continually contributing to ideation methods and work-plan implementation
- Coordinate and supervise the maintenance, monitoring, recording patients' medical records, follow-up, and lab data.
- Collaborate with various teams on effective adjustments to their management communications, evaluations, planning and monitoring;
- Cultivate and present sound recommendations and resolutions to program problems allowing for smooth operation of the multi-disciplinary department management team.
- With assistance from the Department's Data and Research Analyst, conduct a proper evaluation of the program, including check-ins through the program and a final evaluation at the end and develop posters/publications for dissemination.
- Create all policies and procedures for the program and revises as needed.
- Ensure and account for activities of peer counselors as it relates to the grant goals.
Qualifications
-Three to five (3-5) years demonstrated experience as an Administrative Assistant or Office supervisor.
Satisfactory combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated competence in leadership/program management.
- Relevant clinical experience
- Bachelor's in Allied Field
- Master's in Allied Field , MPH
- Experience handling sensitive data
- Database and computer experience
- Extensive Computer Knowledge
