Job description

Overview
Conducts the overall coordination of the Enhanced Condom Distribution program activities, supervision of program staff, ensures model fidelity for all program activities, leads the strategic plan development, and performs service tracking and reporting (data entry). Conducts distribution and education of safer sex products to private or commercial sex-on-site locations (sex clubs and/or sex parties, night clubs and bars, etc). Serves as a member of the program Advisory Board.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, visitors and other employees. Interacts professionally, courteously, and appropriately with patients, visitors, and other employees. Behave in a manner consistent with maintaining and furthering a positive public perception of BronxCare Health System and its employees.
- Contribute to and participate in the Performance/Quality Improvement activities of the assigned department. Contribution and participation includes data collection, analysis, implementation of and compliance with corrective/improvement activities, membership on CQI teams, consistent adherence to established performance standards and: adherence to the specific rules and regulations of the BCHS Safety & Security Policies; Risk Management: Incident and Occurrence Reporting; Infection Control Policies and Procedures; Patient and Customer Service.
- Conducts the overall coordination of the Enhanced Condom Distribution program activities including recruitment of distribution sites and the distribution/education of safer sex products.
- Conducts event-based Distribution/Education -Targeted Outreach to distribute safer sex products in venues frequented by members of the priority populations for recreation purposes or receipt of services including private or commercial sex-on-site locations(sex club and/or sex parties, night clubs, bars, etc.)
- Leads the development of Targetsted Outreach strategies and strategic plan, and implements approaches of the plan.
- Ensures model fidelity for all program activities including compiling reports, billing data and sending monthly Electronic Program Narrative Report (ePNR) to the funding agency.
- Conducts quarterly spot checks and quality reviews of distribution sites and report non active distribution sites to the funding agency
- Ensures accuracy of information from the point of service delivery, to documentation in the agency's records through data entry into eSHARE.
- Provide supervision to program staff
- Serves as a member of the program Advisory Board
Performs service tracking and reporting (data entry) in the NYC DOHMH Electronic System for HIV/AIDS Reporting and Evaluation (eSHARE)
- Responsible for ensuring compliance of program staff with annual health assessments, annual appraisals and annual mandatory training, and Joint Commission compliance
- Regularly review service quality and quality assurance findings are communicated to senior management to incorporate into the program improvement process.
Qualifications
- Organizational experience
- Minimum four (4) years of HIV/AIDS administrative experience in a hospital
- High School or GES in With some college or business school
- Bachelor's in Human Services or related services
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Strong Administrative and communicative skills
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently to achieve appropriate outcomes.
- Extensive Computer Knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excell, Power Point)
