Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the role are to:
  • Gain experience across the site through multiple rotations to understand site operation and collaborate with unit technicians and leadership to provide high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Assists operations in evaluating and achieving unit performance goals related to safety, quality, waste minimization, capacity, reliability, operability, and cost, subject to supervisory review.
  • Gain experience in small and large project scope development and implementation - interfacing with technical professionals from other disciplines (e.g. process control, project engineering, environmental and utility services operations, and process development).
  • Track and monitor process/unit key performance indicators.
  • Participates with investigations of unit performance issues related to safety, quality, environmental impact, capacity, reliability, and operability leading to proposal and implementation of sound technical solutions.
  • Maintains and develops unit operating documentation (e.g. standard operating procedures, process descriptions, material and energy balances, P&IDs, and operating data collection and retrieval).
  • Collaborates on execution of plant trials directed at enhancing unit performance.
  • Engages in continued development of self with peer coaching and constructive feedback.
  • Support Site and Unit Production System improvements, OnePSS.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred);
  • Working knowledge of Engineering tools and software and ability to read and understand process flow diagrams, line drawings P&ID and schematics;
  • Express ideas and information, orally and/or in writing, in a clear, concise and understandable manner;
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and inclusive culture.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possess internship or co-op work experience in related industry;
  • GPA of 3.0 or above at time of graduation.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $54000-81000 per year. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
