Job description

Position Description: The Bar Manager at is responsible for leading all bar operations, ensuring smooth service both behind the bar and on the floor. This role focuses on maintaining DDP standards, and developing initiatives to lead, educate, and inspire both the Bar and Service teams, while managing costs. The Bar Manager will build and maintain positive relationships with team members and guests, fostering a collaborative and hospitality-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Service & Guest Experience
Ensure all guests feel welcome and receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
Uphold service standards and practices for bar and floor operations.
Lead daily bar pre-shifts and participate in FOH pre-shifts with other managers.
Resolve guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
Oversee drink quality, ensuring proper glassware, garnishes, and techniques are used.
Team Leadership & Training
Lead, motivate, and maintain morale among bar and service staff.
Conduct regular bar meetings and trainings in coordination with the Bar Director.
Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to develop team members.
Manage disciplinary actions as necessary (verbal, written, and final warnings, termination).
Operational Management
Ensure all policies, procedures, guidelines, and training programs are followed and completed in a timely manner.
Manage daily service operations, including cash counts, floor maps, and pre-shift notes.
Oversee scheduling, cuts, and time adjustments for bar and service teams.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in all bar and prep areas.
Coordinate with FOH and BOH teams on menu changes, POS updates, and printing needs.
Manage cost of goods sold (COGS) for bar items, including macro and micro costing.
Oversee glassware/equipment inventory and ordering within budget.
Financial & Administrative
Complete daily/nightly sales reporting, cash deposits, comps, and discount tracking.
Balance bank and bar tills for AM and PM shifts.
Troubleshoot POS issues and coordinate repairs or updates.
Prepare and send daily EON emails.
Additional Duties
Greet and seat guests, run food, and assist on the floor as needed.
Ensure prep team, bar backs, and bartenders are completing duties efficiently.
Collaborate with the Bar Director and location management to ensure effective and efficient operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
Strong communication with all FOH and BOH managers and Corporate Team on all pertinent operational information.
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
