Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Contract Physician to provide high-quality medical care to inmates at a Correctional Center in Bland, VA. Key Responsibilities:

  • Medical Care Delivery: Conduct physical exams, diagnose/treat acute/chronic conditions, prescribe medications, and interpret diagnostic tests.

  • Consultations & Referrals: Collaborate with specialists and the Department's Office of Health Services for complex cases. Refer inmates to specialists when medically necessary.
  • Emergency Care: Provide urgent medical services within the facility or local hospitals. Perform required employee health services, such as physical exams and emergency care.
  • Compliance: Adhere to Department of Corrections policies, including confidentiality, licensure updates, and professional conduct. Notify the Department of any changes in licensure, hospital privileges, or malpractice issues.
  • Scheduling: Submit monthly availability in advance and coordinate coverage during absences.
