Job description

itD is seeking a Signal Integrity Engineer to support the design, analysis, and validation of high-speed electronic systems by ensuring signal and power integrity across complex hardware platforms. This role contributes to product performance, reliability, and successful deployment through advanced simulation, modeling, and engineering analysis. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in signal integrity engineering, high-speed circuit analysis, and simulation tools, with a track record of supporting successful hardware development initiatives.

Location: 100% Onsite in RTP, NC

Pay Rate: $32 - $32.71 (hourly)

Responsibilities:
  • Perform signal integrity analysis and simulations for high-speed electronic systems and interconnects.

  • Develop and validate models using industry-standard tools to evaluate signal quality, timing, and performance.

  • Analyze transmission line behavior and high-speed circuit designs to identify and resolve signal integrity concerns.

  • Collaborate with hardware, PCB, package, and system engineering teams to optimize product performance and reliability.

  • Conduct power integrity assessments and support design improvements through simulation and testing.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve signal and power integrity issues throughout the product development lifecycle.

  • Document analysis methodologies, simulation results, technical findings, and design recommendations.

Internal Responsibilities:
  • Attend regular internal practice community meetings.

  • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.

  • Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).

  • Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.

  • Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).

  • Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • 3–5 years of experience in signal integrity, high-speed hardware design, or related engineering disciplines.

  • Experience with IBIS, HSPICE, ADS, MATLAB, Cadence PowerSI AC/DC, and Allegro.

  • Strong knowledge of transmission line theory and high-speed circuit fundamentals.

  • Experience with simulation tools such as SPICE, HSPICE, or equivalent signal integrity analysis platforms.

  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve signal integrity issues in complex electronic systems.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience working with high-speed DDR interfaces, NRZ and PAM4 SerDes technologies.

  • Experience supporting high-speed PCB and package development activities.

  • Knowledge of power integrity (PI) analysis methodologies and best practices.

  • Coursework, research, or project experience in signal integrity, power noise analysis, or related technical fields.

  • Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary hardware engineering teams.

Education:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required.
