Job description

EnSafe is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to work as a full-time consultant at a client site in Columbus, GA. This position is based on a 4-month contract with the opportunity for permanent hire. This is a dynamic opportunity to make a meaningful impact by driving safety culture and compliance in a manufacturing environment.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position, you will:

  • Implement and support client EHS programs, policies, and procedures to promote a safe and healthy workplace.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
  • Conduct assessments and provide technical guidance on:
    • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
    • Machine guarding
    • Confined space entry
    • Job hazard analysis
  • Administer safety-related programs and projects.
  • Deliver EHS training and support to facility personnel.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks.

 

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Minimum Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in EHS Studies or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5-10 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing safety.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train others.
  • Experience with safety program development and implementation.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state-specific EHS regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS Management systems.
  • Proven expertise in hazard identification and control strategies.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
