Overview
Central Maine Healthcare (CMH), a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of more than 40 primary and specialty care locations. The system includes Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston, a 250-bed, not-for-profit regional referral hospital that is home to the region's only Cancer Care Center, an orthopedic ambulatory surgery center, and the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute. CMMC also serves as the central Maine base for LifeFlight of Maine, the state's only medical helicopter service.
CMH also includes Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital, two 25-bed critical access hospitals that provide essential care to Maine's rural communities.

Responsibilities
Responsible for coordinating and leading all activities associated with the Stroke Program. Is an active participant in performance improvement data collection, activities, and functions to promote an integrated program in Stroke Programs, which ensures the provision of the highest quality of healthcare. Assists with the development and implementation of initiatives, policies and procedures, including staff education activities related to stroke care. Evaluates Stroke Program through the use of data capture, follow-up and trend analysis and presents findings to appropriate committees. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team on problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services and systems/ performance measures for both the Risk and Stroke Programs.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. BSN required, Masters (APN) preferred.
2. Current state licensure as an RN or APN.
3. Basic Life Support (BLS)
4. Five years clinical and/or management experience in a multidisciplinary health care setting which includes a minimum of two years of inpatient experience preferred.
5. After 6 months, knowledge in the care of stroke patients using the American Stroke Association Guidelines is required.
6. Knowledgeable on current State Laws and Regulations as applicable to facility and Stroke program.
7. Computer proficiency in Windows applications is required (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint); strong working knowledge in data management, data analysis and quality improvement processes are required. Proficiency in Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) and core clinical systems are required.

Central Maine Healthcare Corporation offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $36.00 to $52.14. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
