Job Summary:

Supplemental Instruction is a program supporting student learning by training undergraduate students to lead study sessions for challenging courses. The incumbent provides administrative support to the planning and coordination of day-to-day fiscal, administrative, and operational activities of a defined, program or set of funded activities. Duties typically include assisting with planning and administration, fiscal, budgetary, and/or other associated transactions, program implementation and administration, internal and external operational/administrative liaison, program marketing, and reporting. The working hours for this position are 10:00 AM - 07:00 PM. This position reports to the Supplemental Instruction Program Manager.

Job Description:

  • Conduct observations of supplemental instruction sessions.
  • Develop and teach training content to Supplemental Instruction Leaders, and assist with scheduling, catering, and hosting events.
  • Assist in development of supplemental instruction schedule.
  • Collect and manage assessment data, including grades, rosters, and transcripts for recruitment of SI leaders.
  • Manage Workday hiring processes for SI leaders.
  • Photocopy handouts for SI sessions upon request.
  • Assist with social media and marketing presence.
  • Complete training modules for supplemental instruction, and stay current with trends in supplemental instruction best practices.
  • Supervise supplemental instruction leaders in coordination with SI program coordinator.
  • Provide support to Program Coordination staff, assisting with grant planning and administration, fiscal, budgetary, and/or other associated transactions, program implementation and administration, internal and external operational/administrative liaison, program marketing, and reporting.
  • Assists in or collaborate with others to develop, implement and maintain lab and research systems and data collection systems or facilities.
  • Assists in program assessment and evaluation and helps to devise quality assurance check systems for program or project.
  • Reviews/edits materials created for others for proper formatting and spell check, making necessary changes and printing final hard copies for supervisor review and signature
