Job description

SUMMARY: 

The Program Specialist will serve as the lead administrator for a grant-funded AI and Cybersecurity Workforce Initiative. This position is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day program operations, ensuring alignment with grant objectives, tracking participant success metrics, engaging external partners, and coordination high-impact events. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, results-driven, and capabilities managing multi-site responsibilities while working collaboratively across departments and communities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Grant Administration & Compliance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all operational aspects of the grant.
- Ensure that all program activities align with the goals, objectives, and timelines outlined in 
the grant proposal.
- Maintain accurate records, data, and documentation for reporting and compliance.
- Assist with preparing and submitting internal and external reports as required.
2. Program Coordination & Delivery
- Oversee student recruitment, enrollment, and onboarding in collaboration with 
admissions and advising.
- Track and monitor participant progress, including credential completion, certification 
outcomes, and job placement data.
- Provide regular updates to leadership regarding enrollment, retention, and program 
performance.
- Identify potential barriers to student success and coordinate support strategies.
3. Industry & Community Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with local and regional business and industry partners.
- Coordinate employer site visits, advisory meetings, and internship or apprenticeship 
opportunities for students.
- Collaborate with employers to align curriculum with workforce needs and identify 
potential job placement pipelines.
4. Multi-Campus Outreach & Coordination
- Lead program outreach and presence on satellite campuses, particularly Natchez and Simpson County

- Ensure consistent delivery of services, student support, and communication across 
locations.
- Coordinate with faculty and staff across campuses to ensure smooth program 
implementation.
5. Event & Summit Planning
- Lead the planning, logistics, and execution of the annual AI Infrastructure Summit, 
including:
 - Securing speakers, panelists, and trainers
 - Coordinating with marketing, facilities, and vendors
 - Managing schedules, logistics, and participant engagement
- Assist with the promotion of the summit and other program-related events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Workforce Development, Business, Information 
Technology, or a related field 
- 2–3 years of experience in program coordination, grant management, or higher 
education/student services
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Experience working with underrepresented populations and/or in workforce training 
programs
- Familiarity with AI, cybersecurity, or technology training environments is a plus
- Ability to travel regularly to CLCC campuses and employer sites

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

-A Master's Degree in Education, Workforce Development, Business, Information Technology, or a related field

WORK CONDITIONS AND TRAVEL: 

- Travel between CLCC campuses and to employer sites is required.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary for events or employer 
engagement
