Meaningful Work From Day

The Finance Manager plays a crucial role in driving profit growth, financial stewardship and business analytics for assigned geographies within the region. Reporting to the Region Finance Director, the Finance Manager collaborates closely with General Managers/State Managers and other local commercial teams to achieve regional financial goals, primarily through optimizing gross profit and maintaining rigorous financial controls.

What You Can Expect
Financial Leadership and Strategic Planning:

  • Develop annual operating plans, forecasts, and long-term strategic plans at the market level, focusing on value growth and gross profit optimization.

  • Conduct ongoing analysis of financial results, risks, and opportunities, providing insights to influence local decision-making processes.

  • Support ad hoc projects to drive operational efficiencies and business growth.

Business Analytics and Decision Support:

  • Act as a strategic financial advisor to General Managers/State Managers, providing insights and recommendations based on thorough business analytics.

  • Partner with cluster/market teams to lead business analytics for assigned markets.

  • Identify, communicate, and manage financial risks and opportunities through proactive financial analysis.

Pricing and Discount Management:

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies aligned with brand guidelines and local market needs.

  • Monitor and adjust price structures in response to market conditions, ensuring transparency and alignment with distributor counterparts.

  • Optimize discounting programs and assess their effectiveness in maximizing profitability.

Distributor and Inventory Management:

  • Collaborate closely with local teams to foster productive relationships with distributor partners.

  • Manage inventory-related processes and participate in distributor reviews to influence mutually beneficial business decisions.

  • Negotiate and oversee distributor margins to ensure profitability goals are met.


What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, in the beverage or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industries.

  • Interpersonal skills combined with strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrates good business sense, including the ability to correctly analyze financial information, and make effective and efficient use of financial resources to achieve optimal results from the brands. Ability to utilize appropriate financial, competitive, and brand data to determine appropriate pricing structures and margins for the distributors.

  • Proven ability to understand and communicate the financial impact of business processes and decisions on brands, Brown-Forman, distributors and retailers.

  • Proven ability to independently organize work projects.

  • Ability to collect, analyze data and present results in a concise actionable format.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint.

Pay

The base pay salary will be $110,000 - $130,000 plus a 15% cost of labor allowance bringing the range of pay to $126,500 - $149,500 paid semi-monthly plus a bonus of $17,700. The bonus is paid annually contingent on performance of the company and individual.
