Job description

A large organization is seeking an experienced Project Finance Lead to support a major capital project within a complex enterprise environment. This role will serve as the primary owner of financial oversight, reporting, and governance for a high?visibility, capital?intensive program.

This is a hybrid role requiring regular on?site collaboration with cross?functional partners, with flexibility for remote work.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Owning end?to?end financial governance for a large capital program
  • Managing project budgets across cash and accrual bases, including CapEx, OpEx, and prepaid expenses
  • Leading month?end close activities such as accruals, capitalization reviews, and reconciliations
  • Partnering with Accounting and Finance to ensure alignment with corporate policies and audit requirements
  • Developing and maintaining executive?level financial reporting, dashboards, forecasts, and variance analysis
  • Supporting recurring financial review meetings with senior stakeholders
  • Performing ad hoc financial analysis, scenario modeling, and risk identification
  • Identifying financial risks, trends, and control gaps and recommending corrective actions
  • Leveraging Excel and enterprise ERP tools to build scalable financial tracking and reporting solutions
Qualifications:
  • Strong background in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Solid understanding of accounting treatment for project?based costs (capitalization vs. expense, accruals, prepaid expenses)
  • Prior hands?on experience in finance or accounting roles with ownership of reporting and analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills; strong working knowledge of PowerPoint and collaborative reporting tools
  • Experience working within Oracle Financials or a comparable ERP system
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with senior leaders

This is a contract opportunity expected to last up to 12 months, with the potential to evolve based on project needs.
