LONG-TERM CARE NURSE RN or LPN
Reports to: Director of Nursing
Location: Heartland Care Center
ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE: 2pm-10pm and every other weekend.

POSITION SUMMARY: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the Long Term Care Nurse provides direct nursing care to the residents and supervises the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility.
Requirements
Education:
  • Required: Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
License/Registration/Certification:
  • Required: Current Iowa RN or LPN license
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, required.
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to flexible work schedules and frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines on daily work and special projects.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong project management skills needed.
  • Ability to learn and use various community programs.
