Location: Boston, Massachusetts

Pay Rate: $80 To $90/hr on 1099

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Program Director / Health Plan Transformation Leader for an insurance client in Boston, Massachusetts. This role leads a large-scale health plan transformation initiative, including transition to a new carrier model, Aetna-focused payer migration, operational readiness, governance, go-live planning, and post-implementation stabilization.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of health plan transformation and payer migration initiatives

• Coordinate operational readiness across claims, enrollment, eligibility, and member services

• Manage dual claims environments during legacy-to-future-state transition

• Develop runbooks, governance models, transition playbooks, and readiness frameworks

• Partner with executive leadership, vendors, and cross-functional teams to manage risks and go-live execution

Requirements

• MUST have Aetna experience in health plan transformation or payer migration programs

• Minimum 10 years of healthcare operations, payer transformation, or health plan conversion experience required

• Strong claims administration, enrollment, eligibility, and member services experience required

• Experience managing TPA transitions, carrier migrations, dual claims environments, and go-live stabilization required

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field required; MBA preferred
