Position Overview


The Program Director serves as a strategic leader responsible for overseeing key operational, healthcare, wellness, and public health-related programs across XWELL's portfolio. While serving as the primary subject matter expert for the XpresCheck program, this role also provides leadership, support, and oversight for additional company initiatives and special projects as assigned, both within airport locations and across non-airport business operations.


The Program Director is responsible for program governance, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement activities that support organizational objectives. This role partners closely with Operations, Clinical Services, Compliance, Technology, People, and Executive Leadership teams to ensure successful program execution, operational excellence, and regulatory adherence across multiple business lines.

The Program Director may serve as a liaison with government agencies, healthcare partners, vendors, and external stakeholders as required by individual program needs, while supporting strategic growth, innovation, and operational effectiveness throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities


Strategic Program Leadership

  1. Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of XpresCheck and other assigned organizational programs and initiatives.
  2. Serve as the primary program leader and subject matter expert for designated healthcare, wellness, operational, and public health-related programs.
  3. Collaborate with executive leadership to establish program priorities, objectives, performance metrics, and strategic roadmaps.
  4. Ensure assigned programs align with regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, operational standards, and organizational goals.
  5. Identify opportunities for program expansion, innovation, operational efficiencies, and revenue growth.
  6. Support new business initiatives, pilot programs, acquisitions, and cross-functional projects as assigned.

Regulatory Compliance & Stakeholder Management


1. Develop and maintain productive relationships with government agencies, healthcare partners, vendors, landlords, airport authorities, and other key stakeholders.

2. Serve as the primary liaison for regulatory and contractual matters associated with assigned programs.

3. Monitor evolving regulations, industry standards, and reporting requirements impacting program operations.

4. Ensure program activities remain compliant with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

5. Coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries, audits, compliance reviews, and contractual reporting obligations.

6. Partner with Legal, Compliance, Clinical, and Operations teams to implement regulatory or operational changes when necessary.

Reporting & Data Management

  1. Oversee all required CDC reporting activities, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
  2. Develop and maintain regular operational, clinical, and compliance reports for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
  3. Analyze program data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance improvement initiatives.
  4. Present findings, recommendations, and program updates to executive leadership and external partners.
  5. Establish reporting standards and dashboards that support operational decision-making and regulatory requirements.

Operational Excellence

  1. Partner with Operations leadership to ensure consistent execution of program processes and protocols across all participating locations.
  2. Support implementation of new program initiatives, pilot programs, and operational enhancements.
  3. Conduct periodic program audits and site reviews to assess compliance, quality, and operational effectiveness.
  4. Provide real-time support and problem resolution for program-related operational challenges.
  5. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and process documentation.
  6. Provide operational and program support across airport and non-airport business units, including special projects and emerging organizational priorities.
  7. Serve as a resource to business leaders by helping implement new programs, operational initiatives, and strategic partnerships as assigned.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  1. Collaborate with Clinical, Operations, Technology, Compliance, and People teams to support program objectives.
  2. Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders and external public health partners.
  3. Support workforce planning, onboarding, training, and development initiatives related to the program.
  4. Lead program-related meetings, working groups, and stakeholder communications.
  5. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

  2. Effectively communicate program updates, regulatory changes, and operational requirements to stakeholders.
  3. Identify emerging risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  4. Drive performance improvement initiatives based on data analysis and stakeholder feedback.
  5. Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for program operations and public health requirements.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in public health, Healthcare Administration, Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Nursing, or a related healthcare field required.
  2. Master’s degree in public health (MPH), Healthcare Administration (MHA), Public Administration (MPA), or related field preferred.
  3. 3. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, wellness, operations, public health, clinical services, program management, or related industries.
  4. Experience working with federal agencies, public health organizations, or regulatory bodies strongly preferred.
  5. Demonstrated experience managing complex programs from planning through execution and performance management.
  6. Strong analytical skills with experience developing and interpreting operational and regulatory reports.
  7. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  8. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and evolving environment.
  9. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, reporting platforms, and data management systems.
  10. Experience supporting multiple programs, business units, or complex cross-functional initiatives preferred
