Description
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Program Director, EHR Implementation to lead a complex and high-profile healthcare transformation initiative. This role will oversee the deployment of a unified enterprise EHR across a large provincial healthcare environment operating on a single shared instance.
The Program Director will serve as the executive leader responsible for end-to-end deployment governance, coordination of multiple implementation teams and subcontractors, customer executive engagement, operational readiness, and measurable program outcomes. The ideal candidate combines large-scale healthcare IT deployment expertise with exceptional leadership, communication, and change management skills in both English and French Canadian.
This role requires a leader who can balance strategic oversight with operational execution while ensuring evidence-based best practice workflows, adoption, quality, compliance, and stakeholder alignment across a highly matrixed environment.
This is a transformational leadership opportunity to help shape the future of healthcare delivery through one of the most significant enterprise EHR initiatives in the industry. Executive Program Leadership
  • Provide executive oversight for a multi-year enterprise EHR deployment program
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for program risks, dependencies, and executive decision-making
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with senior healthcare executives, operational leaders, clinical leadership, vendor partners, and subcontractors
  • Lead executive steering committee meetings, governance forums, and operational review sessions
  • Present program status, risks, milestones, financials, and readiness metrics to executive leadership and customer governance bodies.

Program & Deployment Governance
  • Direct integrated program governance across internal teams, customer organizations, subcontractors, and third-party partners
  • Ensure alignment to contractual commitments, implementation methodology, and deployment standards
  • Oversee enterprise project planning, milestone management, dependency tracking, and risk mitigation
  • Ensure consistent program controls including:
    • Scope management
    • Change control

Workflow & Operational Transformation

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Business, Nursing, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience managing large-scale healthcare IT or EHR implementations
  • Proven experience directing enterprise or multi-organization EHR deployment programs
  • Demonstrated success managing complex vendor and subcontractor relationships
  • Executive-level presentation and facilitation experience
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and healthcare transformation initiatives
  • Experience leading governance and steering committee structures
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Fluency in both English and French Canadian (written and verbal) is required

Hiring salary range: $90,000-120,000 per year.
Actual salary will be determined based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
