Program Director, Diagnostic Medical Sonography Requirements & Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a healthcare or education-related field (doctoral degree highly valued)
  • Current credentialing in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS or equivalent) in at least one concentration
  • Minimum 2 years full-time clinical experience as a registered diagnostic medical sonographer
  • At least 1 year in an administrative, supervisory, or program leadership role
  • 2 years experience in curriculum design, program evaluation, and student advising
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in academic and clinical program administration
  • Commitment to student success, academic excellence, and inclusive teaching practices
  • Proficiency with educational technology, student assessment, and MS Office

Program Director, Diagnostic Medical Sonography Preferred Background & Skills

  • College-level teaching experience
  • Familiarity with CAAHEP and JRCDMS standards and accreditation processes
