Job description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION Responsible for the supervision and clinical support of Veterans One Stop. Provides direct supervision of all staff assigned to these units and clinical oversight of all services provided. Is responsible for all personnel functions of supervisees including hiring, evaluation, scheduling, discipline, etc.

Provides clinically appropriate psychotherapy services and assessments to consumers of the Veterans One Stop. Ensures direct contact time is met per Center and contract requirements. Works with the Associate Director of Behavioral Health Services on grant submission and administration.

Ensures compliance with all applicable community standards and contract requirements including all report and required documents submission. EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED: Performs assessment, diagnosis and treatment with clients identified for veterans' services. Provides individual, family and group intervention when appropriate.

Possess knowledge and understanding of treatment modalities which will benefit the individual client. Possess skills to document clinical services provided in a timely manner no later than 48 hours following client interaction. Completes documentation and reporting contract requirements timely.

Leads a collaborative team designed for the diagnosis and treatment of clients. Supervises and provides clinical oversight of other therapists, case managers, peers, volunteers, and students. Ensures reporting and documentation is completed in a timely manner to meet community standards and contract requirements.

Works with the Associate Director of Behavioral Health Services on completion of grant applications. Acts as liaison between all appropriate agencies, physicians, and community resources for purposes of admission, treatment and discharge planning. May participate in budget planning, unit administration, and program development.

Increases knowledge of Psychotherapeutic and social work concepts by attendance at work related outside conferences and seminars whenever possible. Performs related work as required and assigned. Experience, Training and Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, or related field required.

Must be licensed as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PSYD or Psychologist, plus five (5) years of work experience. Requires two (2) years of the required work experience to have been in an administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity. Experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis up to two years.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Considerable knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques and practices of therapy and interpersonal relationships, the functioning of social service or treatment facility community resources and how to use them effectively. Must have the ability to work well with a variety of individuals including staff, community providers, consumers and the general public. Must have excellent oral and written skills.

Must have the ability to learn necessary skills to navigate web portals and grant application completion for submission. Must have strong organization skills and have the ability to delegate to others and then monitor the completion of tasks. Must have excellent time management/organization/filing skills.

Must be able to transport clients and travel locally 10% and regionally 10%. Knowledge and ability to do clinical documentation. Ability to manage budget, develop policy and procedures, hire and train staff as well as do performance evaluations.

Must be able to supervise 7+ indirect staff. Must be able to lift up to 30lbs.
