DaVita is hiring a Strategic Business Development Leader to support the growth of our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) dialysis portfolio. This role will drive high-impact partnerships with physicians, hospitals, and post-acute providers through acquisitions, medical director agreements, joint ventures, and acute service arrangements. The ideal candidate will combine market strategy, financial acumen, and relationship leadership to expand access to high-quality kidney care while delivering disciplined, measurable growth for the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the sourcing, structuring, and execution of strategic partnerships that expand DaVita's presence in skilled nursing facility (SNF) dialysis. This role drives acquisition opportunities, medical director agreements, acute service arrangements, joint ventures, and other high-impact partnerships with physicians, hospitals, and post-acute providers. Partner closely with divisional leadership to shape and execute advanced deal strategy that accelerates growth and strengthens clinical access across assigned markets.

Growth & Performance Execution

  • Own individual DGI performance and related growth targets.

  • Cultivate and sustain trusted relationships with nephrologists, hospital leaders, and SNF partners.

  • Identify and evaluate incremental physician partners aligned with DaVita's clinical and operational model.

  • Negotiate and secure new hospital and physician agreements that expand access to SNF dialysis services.

Market Strategy & Intelligence

  • Maintain deep knowledge of assigned geographies, including competitive landscape, key nephrologists, health systems, and post-acute providers.

  • Gather and synthesize local market intelligence to inform strategic positioning and competitive responses.

  • Partner with divisional leadership to shape and execute the three-year growth plan and broader market strategy.

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to Divisional Vice Presidents, bringing forward data-driven ideas to improve results.

Deal Development & Financial Analysis

  • Support development of financial pro formas for joint ventures, acquisitions, and partnership opportunities.

  • Conduct rigorous business case analysis to assess risk, return, and strategic fit.

  • Clearly articulate financial and strategic value propositions to internal leaders and external partners.

Stakeholder Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with Operations, Finance, Legal, Clinical, and Strategy teams to advance deal execution.

  • Influence support functions to improve speed, quality, and effectiveness of deal processes.

  • Act as a bridge between corporate strategy and local market execution.

Team Development & Influence

  • Mentor Senior Business Development Managers (Sr. BDM), BDMs, and new Regional Operations Directors.

  • Lead through influence to align teams around shared growth objectives and disciplined execution.
