Job description

Are you a technical sales professional who knows industrial automation and loves to win new business? We're recruiting for a Business Development Manager to lead growth for an Industrial Controls group at a well-established, employee-owned specialty contractor with 80+ years in the industry.

The Role

  • Drive new business development for the Industrial Controls group
  • Build relationships with prospects and convert them into long-term clients
  • Own tradeshow strategy and execution from planning to post-show reporting
  • Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and project management teams
  • Manage pipeline and leads through CRM
  • Shape content and marketing strategy alongside the marketing team

You're a Great Fit If You Have…

  • 3–5+ years in industrial controls, automation, or a related trade environment
  • Hands-on experience in technical sales or business development
  • Knowledge of industrial automation, controls integration, and UL 508A panel shop solutions
  • Rockwell Automation product familiarity (preferred)
  • Experience managing tradeshows and marketing activities
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present at all levels
  • CRM proficiency and a disciplined approach to pipeline management
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client and job sites
