Background: Catholic Charities of Los Angeles’ Immigration and Refugee Resettlement Services Program was established in 1955 and has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice since 1971. Our DOJ-accredited program provides support and advocacy to vulnerable immigrants and refugees, helping them achieve self-sufficiency, family unity, and successful integration through exceptional legal and social services. We serve the diverse populations of the Los Angeles area by supporting pathways to naturalization and facilitating family reunification. Responsibilities:

IRR is seeking a Region/Program Development Manager to help expand the impact of Affirmative immigration services through strategic partnerships, community engagement, and program growth. This position is ideal for a mission-driven professional with a strong commitment to immigrant and refugee rights, excellent interpersonal skills, and experience in community outreach, relationship building, and program development.

Key responsibilities include leading and strengthening community engagement efforts by cultivating strategic partnerships with faith-based organizations, higher education institutions, and community-based organizations to expand program reach and client engagement. Collaborate with the Program Director to develop and implement outreach strategies, manage program communications and outreach materials, represent the program at community events, and identify opportunities for collaboration and growth. Support key departmental initiatives, including annual fundraising efforts, World Refugee Day events, and other organizational planning activities.

This position also oversees grant development efforts by researching and coordinating local, state, and federal funding opportunities in collaboration with the Program Director. Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective funders, support the development of new programs aligned with community needs and funding priorities, and oversee monitoring and evaluation systems to ensure grant compliance, measure program outcomes, and support continuous program improvement. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, Fund Development, Communications, or a closely related field, with five to seven years of related professional experience.

• Demonstrated experience in community engagement, strategic partnerships, and building collaborative relationships with community-based organizations and stakeholders.

• Strong grant writing experience, including development of government proposals, funding applications, and knowledge of federal, state, and local funding agencies.

• Experience cultivating and maintaining relationships with foundation executives, corporate representatives, and individual donors, particularly within organizations supporting underserved and vulnerable populations.

• Proven ability to manage donor communications, including proposal development, stewardship, follow-up, acknowledgment of gifts, and ongoing relationship building.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish strongly preferred.

This is a full-time, in-office position
