Job description

Position Overview
The Assistant Program Manager will work closely with the local Program Manager and be responsible for learning and progressing in the general leadership, development, and coordination of the area's program team. A person with passion for development, networking, and an ability to create and learn will do well in this position. This position supports the ministry's vision by expanding capacity to provide high quality relational adventure experiences to youth. This position is funded by personal support-raising.
Youth Dynamics' vision is to see generations of youth fully alive in Jesus Christ (John 10:10). This position is an exciting opportunity to join and impact a growing and vibrant Christian organization with a 50+ year history of eternally impacting youth for Jesus!
Reports to: Program Manager
Supervises: Seasonal Staff, Volunteers
Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership: Assist Program Manager in leading training, ministry partnerships, and risk management practices.
  2. Administration: Assist in managing communications, bookings, and other necessary records.
  3. Student Ministry: Actively engage local youth in relational ministry, guide adventure trips, assist in training staff and volunteers in technical and relational skills.
  4. Team Involvement: Actively participate on the local Management Team.

Qualifications:
  1. Active and growing relationship with Christ and willingness to sign Youth Dynamics Statement of Faith.
  2. Desire to invest in youth and grow professionally in outdoor leadership.
  3. Highly motivated and able to effectively work independently and collaboratively.
  4. An associates degree in applicable studies or equivalent workforce experience.
  5. Exposure to professional training methods and learning styles.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  7. Willingness and commitment to learn how to build and maintain a personal financial ministry partnership team.
