Role Profile

This role supports the growth of the Industrial Coatings business by identifying new opportunities and executing growth initiatives collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers to understand market needs and deliver solutions that create value. This role requires up to 30% travel.

Key Accountabilities
  • Growth: Execute market development initiatives and new business opportunities
  • Earnings: Deliver profitable segment growth by converting identified market opportunities into commercial wins through effective partnership with cross-functional teams (sales, product, technical).
  • Marketing Excellence: Provide marketing expertise, conversion of market insights into actionable initiatives and strengthen marketing competency
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for developing and executing strategic market activation plans to drive growth. 
  • Develop and maintain addressable market/application maps
  • Lead cross-functional growth projects from opportunity identification through commercialization and post-launch evaluation using a structured stage gate process
  • Conduct market, customer, and value chain assessments to identify unmet needs, emerging trends, and new application opportunities.
  • Develop compelling value propositions and create Economic Value Estimates (EVE) that demonstrate the value of Eastman solutions relative to competitive alternatives.
  • Create marketing collateral, customer-facing materials, and training programs to support product launches and growth initiatives.
  • Support lead generation and opportunity development activities to accelerate the conversion of growth initiatives into revenue.
  • Develop and communicate offers in partnership with sales to execute commercial wins
  • Establish a strong external presence through engagement with customers, industry associations, conferences, and key influencers to build market expertise and strengthen Eastman's position in the industry.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field required.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Coatings expereince preffered 
  • 5+ years in marketing, business development, product management, or commercial roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and commercialize growth opportunities in a B2B environment.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and business acumen with the ability to translate market insights into actionable growth strategies.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
