The Disability Insurance (DI) Branch is seeking a forward-thinking and results-oriented Supervisor II to lead critical training and development efforts.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee two essential units within the Training and Program Development Group. These teams are responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality training programs that support staff across the Disability Insurance and Paid Family Leave programs. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing workforce capability and ensuring training programs align with organizational goals, policy changes, and the evolving needs of the program.
As a key leader, you will drive training development strategies, oversee the design and delivery of integrated training programs, and manage training-related reporting and analytics to support employee performance and program effectiveness. You will ensure training initiatives are responsive, data-informed, and aligned with operational priorities.
The ideal candidate will inspire and engage teams, promote cross-functional collaboration with program areas and subject matter experts, and champion continuous learning and improvement. This role requires a strong focus on instructional quality, innovation in training delivery methods, and the ability to translate complex program requirements into effective learning solutions.

The headquarters is located in downtown Sacramento, near light rail; with multiple field office locations across the state of California.
California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telework. The candidate will be required to report to the nearest DIB office for their in-office days.
Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month.
