Program Development Associate - Georgetown West, Office of the Dean, McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University
Operating within the Office of the Dean at the McDonough School of Business, the Program Development Associate leads the planning, development, and implementation of the Georgetown West initiative while supporting the School's broader academic growth and innovation agenda. The position's primary focus is establishing a permanent Georgetown presence in the San Francisco Bay Area by advancing academic programming, strategic partnerships, operational planning, and community engagement that will enable immersive undergraduate, graduate, and co-curricular experiences connected to the Silicon Valley AI and technology ecosystem.
Working closely with faculty, university leadership, alumni, donors, corporate partners, and Bay Area stakeholders, the Associate oversees the coordinated workstreams required to grow Georgetown West from early experiential activities into a comprehensive regional academic hub. This includes guiding academic program development, student life planning, facilities and operational readiness, and external engagement to build a sustainable foundation for the University's long-term West Coast presence.
In addition, the Associate contributes to strategic academic initiatives across the McDonough School of Business by supporting the development of new domestic and international programs, advancing academic innovation, and ensuring compliance with university, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
Additional duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilities, resource, and student life planning
  • Market research and strategic analysis
  • Regulatory, accreditation, and compliance support

Work Interactions
Reporting to the Executive Director of Strategy and Development, the Program Development Associate will manage the development of the Georgetown West initiative, which will require regular interaction with:
  • McDonough Faculty/ Staff: for academic and co-curricular program design.
  • Main Campus Administrators: Office of Advancement, Office of Alumni Relations, University Registrar, Student Affairs, and General Counsel.
  • External Networks: Silicon Valley tech partners, real estate providers, regional alumni, and corporate donors.
  • External regulatory agencies: California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) and Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years in higher education program development, student services, or academic administration, with experience building partnerships within the technology sector preferred
  • Strong track record driving action and managing multiple concurrent initiatives on fixed timelines.
  • Proficiency with project management platforms, excellent written/verbal communication, high attention to detail, demonstrated ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and proactively solve problems.
  • Must reside in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$54,616.00 - $100,493.33
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
