The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and innovative Group Design Manager to lead a distributed team of world-class designers. You will tackle strategic challenges and empower your teams to deliver outstanding results. You will also evolve our cross-functional partnerships. In this role, you will help define how core asset and brand experiences evolve to meet new technological trends, shifting business needs, and the evolving expectations of our customers.
What you'll do
  • Set a high bar for design excellence, from strategic framing to detailed execution, and oversee day-to-day team operations (e.g. syncs, critiques, reviews) to deliver high-quality work.
  • Proactively identify uncharted business opportunities and pair high-level strategy with actionable execution, influencing roadmaps and long-term investment decisions.
  • Foster a trust-based, collaborative environment that encourages deep partnerships across teams to drive alignment on key experiences.
  • Bring chaos to clarity by connecting dots, mobilizing the team, and prioritizing the highest impact work.
  • Hire, develop, and retain exceptional talent through mentorship and growth, and serve as a design leader who leads the evolution in how we work in the AI era.
  • Champion creativity and innovation to experiment, prototype, build and deliver valuable customer-centric solutions.

What you'll need to succeed
  • 6+ years of experience leading design within a matrixed organization, and a proven track record of success influencing across multiple teams.
  • A deep understanding of creative workflows, ideally within asset management and the creation and consumption of on-brand content or a related domain.
  • Agility player who thrives in ambiguity and can drive progress, build alignment, and adapt to evolving platform strategies, shifting priorities, and emerging technologies.
  • High ownership leader who can balance strategic vision with execution rigor and can easily navigate both altitudes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to different audiences and levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and fostering an inclusive environment that empowers designers to innovate and deliver impactful work.

Expected Pay Range:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $155,100 -- $293,800 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
In California, the pay range for this position is $202,900 - $293,800In Washington, the pay range for this position is $182,500 - $264,250
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
