Job description

Responsible for the delivery, setup, maintenance, retrieval, and repair of durable medical equipment (DME) and medical supplies for patients. Provides patient and caregiver education on equipment use and safety, completes required documentation accurately, maintains company vehicles and equipment, and supports inventory control and warehouse operations. Participates in on-call and after-hours coverage as assigned.

Principal Responsibilities

  1. Deliver, set up, inspect, and retrieve durable medical equipment and medical supplies in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  2. Educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on the safe and proper use of equipment.
  3. Complete all required delivery, service, maintenance, and billing documentation accurately and on time.
  4. Perform equipment cleaning, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and minor repairs.
  5. Verify patient and delivery information and obtain required signatures and documentation.
  6. Assist with inventory control, equipment tracking, cycle counts, and warehouse organization.
  7. Load, unload, and transport equipment safely while maintaining compliance with company safety standards.
  8. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
  9. Provide exceptional customer service and respond professionally to patient concerns and service requests.
  10. Participate in on-call, weekend, and after-hours coverage as required.
  11. Maintain compliance with all company, state, federal, HIPAA, and accreditation requirements.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license with an unrestricted driving record.
  • Ability to lift and move at least 75lbs safely.
  • Basic technology, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to pass required background, drug, and motor vehicle screenings.

Preferred:

  • 1+ year of experience in DME, healthcare delivery, warehousing, logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience working with patients, caregivers, or healthcare facilities.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and HIPAA requirements.
